Savory Griddle Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 Egg — well beaten
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter — melted

Cooking Directions:

  1. Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, sift again.
  2. Combine milk and egg and add to flour.
  3. Stir only until smooth.
  4. Add butter. Bake on hot, well-greased griddle.
  5. Serve hot with Log Cabin Syrup.
  6. Makes 12 cakes.
